I had a bit of a late start as far as ad careers go. I began as an intern at age 30 after years of working in those types of jobs that no one should be doing, but someone has to do. You ever ride an elevator jammed with port-a-potties that had been filled to the brim? I have. And that was the moment I knew I would need to change my life and find a creative career where the only thing spilling out all over the place would be great ideas.
Art:
As a kid, drawing was all that I wanted to do. And then somewhere along the way I stopped forever…forever…forever…
Until forever finally came to end. Recently I picked up a shitty box of kid’s pencil crayons and started to doodle. Soon the doodles got a little better and so did the supplies, and now here we are. I’m a grown-ass man who has dedicated a page on the internet to his pencil crayon doodles.
Music:
Doesn’t every kid dream of growing up to be a weathered old country singer, singing about booze and heartache? I know I did. Now that I’ve finally hit 40, it seemed like the next natural move. So I started a band with some friends called Weepin’ Dave and the Diamond Boys. Childhood dream fulfilled.
